Chemical Engineering IIT Madras, through its Centre for Industrial Consultancy and Sponsored Research, offers contractual positions in the various sponsored research and industrial consultancy projects it undertakes. These positions are temporary in nature and the duration can vary from a few months to a couple of years. Besides a consolidated salary, the project staff is also entitled to a host of benefits.

▌ Message From the Head of Department

 

We have revised our academic curriculum to be in tune with the current developments in the field while retaining the core concepts from the discipline. Faculty introduce new electives related to their research and these are well subscribed.​ The last few years have seen a dramatic increase in industrial collaboration and consultancy, research projects, research publications and faculty awards. Our students have actively participated in National and International Conferences and won many Best Paper/poster awards. In recent years, several publications have made it to the Journal Cover pages. Patents and start-ups abound among faculty and students. Or alumni are in leadership positions across myriad fields.
