In our lab, Oscilloscope is used to collect the electrical signals in terms of voltage in coordination with Rheometer. we are collecting stress response of a material subjected to oscillatory shear or strain.

The PFX2000 Series are the battery test system developed on the basis of the experience and know-how that we have amassed through implementing numerous custom-built battery evaluation systems. The product adopts a unit structure that houses charging/discharging power supply units (PFX2011 or PFX2021) inside a unit frame (PFX2332).

Rheology is the study of flow of fluids under deformation. Rheometer is a sophisticated equipment that has provision to set and measure more parameters to understand the flow behavior of fluids that cannot be represented by a single value of viscosity, also called complex fluids or soft matter. There are two distinct types of Rheometer, stress controlled and strain controlled. At PECS we have two Anton Paar Modular Compact Rheometers (similar to stress-controlled). Rheological tests like rotational shear, Oscillatory shear (SAOS, LAOS), etc, can be performed using geometries like Parallel plate, Cone & Plate and Concentric cylinder (Cup & Bob and Double gap).

It works based on a powerful synchronous EC motor drive with the latest DSP (Digital Signal Processing) technology, high-precision air bearing, including patented normal force sensor, TruGap, TruRate and TruStrain mode of operations. It makes use of a user-friendly software called ‘RheoPlus’. It can accommodate the following accessories:
Extensional Rheology setup (SER)
Interfacial Rheology setup (IRS)
RheoOptics – Small-Angle Light Scattering (Rheo-SALS)
Temperature control – Convection Temperature Device (CTD)
Temperature control – Peltier system.

MCR 502 (Twin Drive ready)
All the above rheological tests can be performed with this Rheometer as well. It has two powerful, synchronous EC motor drives (for the torque transducers and drive units) in one single modular setup – flexible enough to deliver results with better precision. It facilitates both counter-rotation and separate motor transducer modes of operation. It makes use of a more user-friendly software called ‘RheoCompass’,

The MSR rotating electrode is the most popular rotating electrode configuration worldwide. The MSR now includes both CE and ETL marks.
This flexible design may be used with Rotating Disk Electrodes (RDE), Rotating Ring-Disk Electrodes (RRDE), and Rotating Cylinder Electrodes(RCE).

Bath type sonicator is instrument used to mix or dissolve or disperse two components. It is used to make homogenous dispersion of colloids in to the medium. We have fabricated a bath type sonicator attached with martin walter powersonic controller. Frequency of sonication can be adjusted to Max of 132 KHz. Instrument works on the principle of cavitation.

Spin Coating is a processing technique to deposit thin films on flat substrates. Usually a small amount of coating material is applied on the center of the substrate, which is either spinning at low speed or not spinning at all. The substrate is then rotated at high speed in order to spread the coating material by centrifugal force. Spin coating is widely used in MEMS microfabrication, where it can be used to create thin films with thicknesses below 10 nm. It is used intensively in photolithography, to deposit layers of photoresist.

At PECS, we have a SPS 150 Manual dispensing coater with maximum speed upto 12000 rpm, programmable digital process controller for repeatable, accurate processing.

This syringe pump supports both infusion and withdraw operations and can use both simplified pumping profiles or the more advanced pump profiles and I/O settings that permit interactions with external devices. In addition to supporting all of the advanced programming tools available on the PHD ULTRA™, this model also allows users to create and store multiple user-defined methods on the pump.

This versatile potentiostat / galvanostat is performance driven allowing for use in many different applications including corrosion, Energy Storage, Sensors, Nanotechnology, and Research Electrochemistry.

Electrochemical techniques provided by the VersaSTAT 4 that are widely used in corrosion applications include Linear Polarization Resistance (LPR), Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), and EIS at various polarization levels.
