About the Workshop

The AIM of this joint workshop is to bring together scientists working in the domain of analytical and applied pyrolysis in India and Japan to deliberate on

  • the state-of-the-art analytical pyrolysis techniques to characterize complex materials like macroplastics, microplastics & real solid waste mixtures
  • the production of valuable chemicals, fuels and bioproducts from a circular bioeconomy concept using pyrolysis technology
  • the reaction mechanism, chemistry and kinetics of pyrolysis processes using advanced experimental techniques and modeling approaches
  • the catalytic pyrolysis, hydrogenolysis and hydrocracking for making upcycled products

    Topics & Abstract Submission

    Submissions are invited for consideration in the following thematic areas for FAAPEE-2024. Please note abstracts are not restricted to, but should focus on the keywords of the given themes. Broadly, they should be addressing an aspect of “Analytical & Applied Pyrolysis”

    • Analytical pyrolysis
    • Characterization of complex mixtures (Plastics, polymers & real solid wastes)
    • Valuable chemicals & fuels from biomass pyrolysis
    • Reaction mechanism, chemistry and kinetics of pyrolysis processes

    About IIT Madras
